Vinsent (real name - Dzmitry Papko (Belarusian: Дзмітрый Папко)[1][2][3][4][5] born 3 October 1988) is a Belarusian singer, hip-hop artist, actor.
Vinsent writes and performs songs in the Belarusian language. Initially, he acted alone. Now he sings, accompanied by the music group.[6]
The main theme of his songs is social problems.[6][7] Besides writing, performance and recording his own compositions Vinsent translates the lyrics into the Belarusian language for other groups.
Biography
Vinsent was born on 3 October 1988 in the city of Ivatsevichi, Byelorussian SSR.[8] He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Belarusian State University on a specialty "Directing television".[9]
In 2007 he had his first musical performance on the stage of the BSU.
Vinsent became famous in 2008 as the Belarusian-language hip-hop artist.
This year, he recorded the song "Адыходзяць караблі" (English: Ships depart), which twice won first place in the hit parade of Belarusian music portal Тузін Гітоў. (English: Dozen hits) [10][11]
In February 2009 via BMA Group debut Vinsent's album "Пачатак" (English: Start).[12]
On the song Vinsent "Працягваю жыць" (English: I continue to live) and "Восеньскі вальс" (English: Autumn Waltz) were filmed music videos.
In 2011 Vinsent said that his second album is preparing to enter.[6]
Vinsent's acting career began with the announcement of the youth film "Вышэй за неба" (English: Above the Sky). The artist offered a film director to write the soundtrack for the film. The director invited him to participate in the film.
In 2011 the film «Жыве Беларусь» (English: «Viva Belarus») was filmed. In the main role was invited Vinsent. The film won the second place in the Czech films competition "Febiofest 2013".
In April 2013, Vinsent said that upon arrival in Belarus after the filming «Жыве Беларусь» (English: «Viva Belarus») Belarusian secret services began to haunt him. They called him in for questioning. The diagnoses that gave the actor a respite from the army, were canceled. Authorities banned him from traveling abroad.[13][14][15]
In November 2015 Vinsent presents his new music video "Жывы" (English: Alive). Then he announces the release of a new album. The 9 of December 2015 Vinsent released the album «VIR». Presentation of the album is scheduled for the 16 of December 2015 in Minsk's club Пляцоўка хол. Also, the presentation of the album will be held in London on 19 December.[16]
