Vernate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,594 and an area of 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi).[1]

The municipality of Vernate contains the frazione (subdivision) Pasturago.

Vernate borders the following municipalities: Noviglio, Noviglio, Rosate, Rosate, Binasco, Calvignasco, Casarile, Casorate Primo, Rognano, Trovo.
