Varni is a mandal in Nizamabad District of Telangana State, India. Varni Mandal Headquarters is Varni. It is located 30 km towards west from District headquarters Nizamabad. 165 km from State capital Hyderabad towards the north.
Geography
Varni is located at 18°31′56″N 77°53′45″E / 18.53227°N 77.895935°E. It has an average elevation of 403 metres.[1] It comes under Banswada Legislative and Zaheerabad Parliamentary constituencies. There is a statue of Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose in center of the town, popularly known as center/Bose bomma.
Economy
The villages under this mandal live mainly on agriculture and animal husbandry. Nizamsagar Project Canal is the main source of irrigation, though many bore-wells are used in recent times. Milk production is high in this area.
