VIST Financial Corp. is a subsidiary of Tompkins Financial Corporation and a diversified financial services company headquartered in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, providing banking, insurance, investment, and mortgage services throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.
The company has four subsidiaries: VIST Bank, VIST Insurance, VIST Capital Management and VIST Mortgage.
Founded over 100 years ago, the company now has 1.4 billion in assets, 300 employees and 23 bank branches serving Berks, Montgomery, Schuylkill, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
History
1909 - First National Bank of Leesport opens at 119 N. Centre Ave. in Leesport.
1933 - During national bank moratorium, Leesport Bank is among the few authorized by regulations to do business as usual under its original name and character.
1985 - Holding company First Leesport Bank Bancorp Inc. goes public and is listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.
1998 - Purchases Essick & Bar Insurance firm
1999 - Purchases two investment firms
2001 - Moves corporate headquarters from Leesport to Spring Township, Pennsylvania.
2007 - Reaches $1 billion in assets
2008 - Unifies company under new brand, VIST Financial Corp.
2009 - VIST Financial Celebrate its 100-year anniversary.
2010 – VIST Bank acquires Allegiance Bank of North America in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, and its offices in Old City, Berwyn, and Worcester.
2011 – VIST Virtual Bank launches VISTEverywhere.com for its customers' online banking needs
Rebranding as VIST Financial
Prior to its rebranding in March 2008, VIST Financial was known as Leesport Financial Corp., with seven subsidiaries: Leesport Bank, Madison Bank, Essick & Barr Insurance, The Boothby Group, Madison Insurance Consultants, Madison Financial Advisors, and Philadelphia Financial Mortgage.
On March 3, 2008, the company publicly unveiled its new name and brand: VIST Financial, an acronym standing for vision, integrity, solutions and trust, allegedly the company's core values.[1]
Lines of business
VIST Financial's Services claim to include comprehensive banking, insurance, investments and mortgage services to individuals, small businesses, and large corporations.
Personal services VIST Financial claims to offer personal services in banking, insurance and investments. Customers may open traditional checking and savings accounts, virtual accounts, obtain loans and mortgage solutions, and request home and automobile insurance quotes.
Small business services VIST Financial claims to offer products and services to meet small businesses needs and offers a program to businesses called Employee Link Program. This service gives business customers’ employees full access to banking, insurance, and investment opportunities. Businesses may also apply for loans and business insurance, receive human resource consulting, and develop employee benefits packages.
Commercial services VIST Financial claims to offer commercial solutions to financial needs including commercial loans for capital or other operational needs, checking and savings bank accounts, employee benefits, and surety bonds.

VIST Financial has its corporate headquarters in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania and its regional headquarters in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
VIST Bank is chartered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and currently operates in the southeastern part of the state with offices in Bala Cynwyd, Bern Township, Berwyn, Birdsboro, Blandon, Blue Bell, Breezy Corner, Centre Square, Conshohocken, Exeter, Fox Chase, Hamburg, Leesport, Northeast Reading, Oaks, Old City, Schuylkill Haven, Sinking Spring, Strafford, Worcester, and Wyomissing. Additionally, there are two onsite offices at Phoebe Berks Village and Heritage at Green Hills for staff and residents.
VIST Insurance is a licensed Pennsylvania insurance agency (also holding licenses in a number of other states) with offices in Blue Bell, Pottstown, Schuylkill Haven and Wyomissing.
VIST Capital Management is a licensed brokerage and advisory firm with offices in Blue Bell and Wyomissing. Securities and certain investments advisory products are offered by LPL Financial Services, member FINRA/SIPC and an SEC-registered investment advisor; certain investment advisory products are offered by VIST Capital Management, an SEC-registered investment advisor; LPL and VIST Capital Management are independent entities.
VIST Mortgage offers residential mortgage services with offices in Bern Township, Blue Bell, Exeter, Reading, Schuylkill Haven, Sinking Spring, and Wyomissing.
Community involvement
VIST Financial has served southeastern Pennsylvania for over 100 years and claims to be actively involved in the community. The company claims to works to promote literacy in children and adults and to provide donations to local non-profit organizations to enrich the community.
VIST Cares Initiatives Every month, VIST Financial employees who make donations for local charities can wear jeans on paydays. Charities vary each month and serve those in VIST's operating area.
The company also claims to have donated one of the largest contributions to the American Cancer Society of Southeastern Pennsylvania and, from October through December 2010, sold Cooking for a Cure cookbooks, which included recipes from VIST Financial customers and employees, to raise awareness for breast cancer research.
VIST Financial Plaza[2] In February 2011, VIST Financial partnered with the Reading Phillies to construct the VIST Financial Plaza at the south end of the FirstEnergy Stadium, which was part of a $10 million renovation project. The plaza serves as a new entrance that features concession stands, a team store, and a stage for performances and autographs. VIST Financial Plaza will offer an enhanced game experience by providing additional food choices and live music before and after the game, and is also available year-round for other performances.[3]
Best in Berks[4] VIST Financial was voted the Best Banking Institution in the 2010 and 2011 editions of Best of Berks, an annual award given to companies with notable customer service from the local magazine Berks County Living.[5]
