V. R. Kota (Veera Raghavuni Kota) is one of the major villages in Prakasam District on the East Coast of India in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in a river valley. This Village shows local cultures and accents of both Nellore (Nellore District) and Ongole (Prakasam District).
History
One of the V.R. Kota temples is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the same located at the east side of the village which has almost 1050 years of the history. It is believed to be the holiest place as equivalent as Kasi temple, The reason why because it is placed at the joining of 3 Canals . This village has some other temples, which are dedicated to Lord Rama, Anjaneya and Goddess Ankamma.
