Větřní is a village and municipality (obec) in Český Krumlov District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 27.67 square kilometres (10.68 sq mi), and has a population of 3,950 (as at 28 August 2006).
Větřní lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Český Krumlov, 26 km (16 mi) south-west of České Budějovice, and 146 km (91 mi) south of Prague.
Industry
It was (and still is) one of the major producent of paper in Czech Republic, because of its paper mill, located near the river. This paper mill was founded in 19th century
