Værøy Church (Norwegian: Værøy kirke) is a parish church in the municipality of Værøy in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Sørland. The church is part of the Værøy parish in the Bodø deanery in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, stone church was built in 1939. Before that time, the Old Værøy Church was the only church on the island, and it was about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) away, on the other side of the island. Since the majority of the population lived in Sørland, the new church was built there. The old church is still used once a month for worship services.[1]
