1959 Uruguayan flood

In April 1959, Uruguay suffered floods (Spanish: Inundaciones de abril de 1959 en Uruguay) that were the severest in modern history of Uruguay.

Rainfall lasted from March 23 till April 24, and as a consequence the Río Negro suffered an overtopping. Waters passed over the Dam of Rincón del Bonete.
