Up & Away is the debut studio album by American hip hop recording artist Kid Ink. It was released on June 12, 2012, by this independent Tha Alumni Music Group label. The production on this album was handled by a variety of several producers; including Jahlil Beats, Cardiak and Ned Cameron, among others.
Singles
The album's lead single, "Time of Your Life" was released on February 7, 2012. The song was produced by Ned Cameron.
The album's second single, "Lost in the Sauce" was released on April 26, 2012 via iTunes. The song was produced by Jahlil Beats.
The album's third single, "Drippin'" was released on June 13, 2012. The song was produced by KB.
The album's fourth single, "Hell & Back" was released on August 1, 2012. The song was produced by Ned Cameron; the same producer, who recently produced the song "Time of Your Life", which latter released as the first single. The music video for "Hell & Back" was released in August 2012.
The album's fifth single, "Is It You" was released on September 6, 2012. The song was produced by The Amazinz. On the same day as the release of the single, Kid Ink released the music video for "Is It You".
The album's sixth and final single, "Roll Out" was released on September 12, 2012, along with the release of the music video. The song was produced by The Arsenals.
Commercial performance
In July 2012, Up & Away has broken the iTunes records sales by reaching top five on the Hip-Hop Albums, before the album became the top ten. The album debuted at number 20 on the US Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 20,000 copies in the United States.[2] Since then, the album has sold 29,000 copies in the United States.[3] On October 18, 2012, the album has sold 45,000 copies in the United States.
