The 2016 United States presidential election in Michigan will take place on November 8, 2016, as part of the 2016 General Election in which all 50 states plus The District of Columbia participate. Michigan voters will choose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote.
On March 8, 2016, in the presidential primaries, voters will express their preferences for the Democratic, and Republican parties' respective nominees for President. Michigan does not require you to register with a party to vote in the primaries, allowing voters to select a candidate in either party, however voters may only select one candidate overall.
