The 2016 United States presidential election in theDistrict of Columbia will take place on November 8, 2016, as part of the 2016 General Election in which all 50 states plus The District of Columbia participate. DC voters will choose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote.
On March 12 and June 14, 2016, voters will choose delegates to the National Conventions.

Twelve candidates will appear on the Republican presidential District Convention on March 12:[1]

Democratic primary
The Democratic primary was delayed until the last possible day, June 14th, because the party thought the race would be long over and wished to save money.
