United Health Services (UHS) (United Health Services Hospitals, Inc.) is a regional not-for-profit health care system serving the Greater Binghamton region in the New York State. It is the Southern Tier's largest health care provider.[3] Established about the 1980s, UHS now comprises four general hospitals. UHS also operates 25 primary care centers and 3 walk-in clinics and pediatrics care centers in many locations throughout Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties. In addition, its school-based health centers offer primary and preventive care to students in the Binghamton, Norwich, Oxford, Unadilla and Bainbridge-Guilford schools. UHS Wilson Medical Center also provides a residency program. United Health Services is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association's Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.[4]
