The United Daily News (Traditional Chinese, 聯合日報; Pinyin, Liánhé Rìbào) is the oldest and the largest Philippine newspaper in Chinese. Like its counterpart in Taiwan, it uses traditional characters, instead of simplified ones. The paper is one of the first to use the term 西菲海 (Pinyin, XīFēiHǎi; "West Philippine Sea") in some of its articles.
