Unit 333 (Arabic: الوحدة 333 قتال), is a unit of the armed forces but it is a time of peace and cooperation of the Ministry of Interior and undertake the task of freeing the hostages, and operations against international terrorism and the rapid intervention operations. This unit, established in the seventies, based in the south of Cairo, and an unknown number of its members. This unit is often placed at the disposal of the state security apparatus and helped the Ministry of the Interior, has defined its role in dealing with violent Islamic fundamentalists who were present in the nineties, which saw violent waves of terrorism.
