The hybrid elm cultivar Ulmus × hollandica 'Haarlemensis' is one of a number arising from the crossing of Wych Elm U. glabra with Field Elm U. minor. It was first listed by Springer in Mitt. Deutsch. Dendr. Ges. 21: 366, 1912, as U. campestris haarlemensis.
Description
A slow-growing tree, forming an unbroken, broad pyramidal crown, with glossy, dark-green leaves persisting for several weeks longer than most in autumn.[1]
Cultivation
Probably extinct.
