UbiNetics
UbiNetics was a 3G wireless technology company based in Cambridge, UK, with offices in the US, Japan, Hong Kong, India (Bangalore) and China. They had other development centers within UK at Swindon and the US in Melbourne, FL. The company had gone through three different acquisitions; WCDMA Silicon on chip group acquired by Analog Devices (ADI), Test and Measurement equipment group, which produced UMTS/HSDPA test mobiles to Aeroflex[1] and the rest of R&D by Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR Plc) in Cambridge in 2005.[2] The name UbiNetics stood for Ubiquitous Networks. The company was initially formed as a spin-off from PA Consulting with several engineers, PhD and post graduates from University of Southampton and other universities in Europe.
