U-Wei Hj Saari is a noted award-winning Malaysian film director.
Career
A partial list of films include Kaki Bakar, Jogho, Buai Laju-Laju, Perempuan, and Isteri dan… (1990).
He gained international attention with his 2011 film based upon Joseph Conrad's novel, Hanyut/Almayer's Folly (film),[1][2] shot on location in Kuala Lipis and Pekan, Malaysia.[3]
