Tyrone, Missouri

Tyrone is an unincorporated community in Texas County, Missouri, in the United States.

History

Tyrone was founded in 1892.[1][2] It was named for County Tyrone, in Northern Ireland.[3]

On February 26, 2015, Tyrone was the scene of a mass murder, carried out by Joseph Jesse Aldridge. He killed seven people and wounded another person before taking his own life.[4]
