Typhlops jerdoni is a harmless blind snake species endemic to India. No subspecies are currently recognized.[3]
Etymology
The specific name, jerdoni, is in honor of British biologist Thomas C. Jerdon.[4]
Geographic range
T. jerdoni is found in eastern and northern India in Sikkim, northern West Bengal, Seven Sisters [Assam], and Meghalaya. Possibly, it also occurs in Bangladesh, Myanmar (Pegu).
The type locality given is "Khási Hills [ Meghalaya State, northeastern India ]" [Seven Sisters, Assam, India].[2]
