Tsuneo Niijima (新島 恒男 Niijima Tsuneo) is a Japanese astronomer.
He is a prolific discoverer of asteroids[1] and co-discovered the periodic comet 112P/Urata-Niijima.
Asteroid 5507 Niijima is named after him.
