The hairy-backed bulbul (Tricholestes criniger) is a songbird species in the bulbul family (Pycnonotidae). Its genus Tricholestes is monotypic.[2] It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, and Thailand. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.[1]
