Tralee Dynamos F.C. is an Irish football club, currently playing in the Kerry District League (KDL) Division 1A in the Republic of Ireland. The club hails from Tralee, County Kerry, and play their home matches at Cahermoneen. The club colours are red.
Following the end of the A Championship in 2011, Dynamos were placed in Division 1A of the KDL. Tralee Dynamos have underage teams from Under 7s to Under 16s called Kingdom Boys, who are the most successful schoolboy club in Kerry. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2011. The club also fields senior teams in junior football, its "B" side competing in Division 2B of the Kerry District League.
CPC.ie is the main sponsor of Tralee Dynamos F.C. for a 3-year term (2010–2012).
History
The team were accepted to play in the newly formed A Championship in 2009.[2] In the same season, Tralee Dynamos reached the last 16 of the FAI Cup but lost to Premier Division side Bray Wanderers.
Tralee Dynamos entered a team in the League of Ireland Under 20 competition for the first time in their history in 2010.
Upon the abolition of the A Championship in 2011, the club had applied for a licence to compete in the 2012 League of Ireland First Division, in accordance with FAI plans to restructure the league format,[3] However this was unsuccessful.
