Tracton

Tracton is a southeast County Cork parish, lying roughly 7 kilometres south of Carrigaline. It is named after Tracton Abbey, a Roman Catholic monastery that was in the area in medieval times.[1] The Tracton GAA team were Intermediate County Hurling Champions in 1991. Irish Republican Diarmuid Lynch was born in Tracton.
