Trachinocephalus myops is a marine fish. It is a member of the lizardfish family commonly known as the snakefish or painted grinner and is the sole member of its genus. This species grows to a length of 40 centimetres (16 in) TL. It has pale blue and yellow wavy stripes along its body, with a few darker bars on the sides and a dark spot along the gill opening.[1]
