Tony Pezzano

Anthony Benedict Pezzano (born 23 October 1960 in Sydney, Australia) is a former football goalkeeper[1] who was active in the National Soccer League.

Born and raised in Sydney's inner-west Pezzano attended Canterberry Boys High School where his football life began as he was selected into his schools 1st XI at the age of 13.

Club career

Tony Pezzano played his youth football for Canterberry FC until the age of 15 when he was signed by Sydney City Hakoah. He made his 1st grade debut at the age of 15 and 213 days becoming the youngest ever player to do so.

He had a career spanning from 1976-1993 winning 5 NSL titles with Sydney City Hakoah, Adelaide City, APIA Leichhardt Tigers and Marconi Stallions.

Pezzano was also involved in the infamous "Pratten Park Riots" taking place on 7 July 1985 between Sydney Olympic and Sydney City.
