Anthony Mawejje Jr. (born 15 December 1987) is a Ugandan football midfielder who currently plays for Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur.
Club career
Born in Masaka, Mawejje began his career with Masaka Local Council FC in the Ugandan Super League, before moving to Kampala City Council FC in 2004. In 2006 he was transferred to Police FC and in 2008 to Uganda Revenue Authority SC. In the spring of 2009, Mawejje joined Icelandic Premier League club ÍBV. In 2010, ÍBV surprised Icelandic football experts by finishing third in the league and securing a place in European competitions for 2011. In early 2012, he joined South African club Golden Arrows on loan.
Mawejje signed a two-year contract with the Norwegian Tippeligaen club Haugesund ahead of the 2014 season.[1] In July 2014, after only three appearances for Haugesund, Mawejje moved to Valur on loan.[2] On 27 January 2015, Mawejje became a free agent.[3]
