Tom Alan Robbins is an American actor. He recently returned to the role of Pumba in The Lion King, a role he originated at its Broadway opening. Before returning to The Lion King, he appeared in the Broadway production of Is He Dead?, a comedy written by Mark Twain, as Hans von Bismarck, a role which he originated in 2007. He has been on television shows including Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, Law & Order, The Good Wife, and Baby Talk.[1]

Robbins so far has appeared in the original Broadway casts of The Lion King, The Threepenny Opera, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Sunset Boulevard, Once Upon a Mattress, and Is He Dead?. He played Thenardier in a national tour of Les Misérables.[2]

His Off-Broadway credits include On the Verge, Isn't It Romantic?, The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket, The Cradle Will Rock. He has been in the cast of Henry V as part of the New York Shakespeare Festival.[3] He is an alumnus of The Acting Company.[4]

Tom graduated from Lehman High School in Canton, Ohio. Tom graduated from The Juilliard School. He is married to Leslie Geraci.
