Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is an expansion to the 2006 action role-playing hack and slash video game Titan Quest developed by Iron Lore Entertainment. Like Titan Quest, Immortal Throne is a single player and multiplayer game taking place in a fantastic world based on Greek mythology.
Titan Quest: Gold Edition was also released in 2007, and contains Titan Quest as well as Immortal Throne. On July 17, 2007, Immortal Throne was released on Steam.[1] The game is also available via Impulse, GamersGate, GameTap, Torrent and Direct2Drive. After the closure of IronLore Entertainment in 2008 and the end of official support, the game community tried to take over and fix remaining bugs with own-made unofficial patches themselves.[2][3]
Gameplay
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne adds a fourth act to Titan Quest. The gameplay is mostly unchanged, though there are a few additions. Players can now store extra items in caravans. These caravans can also be used to trade items between characters. Players can equip artifacts, which are made with powerful arcane formulas. An enchanter has been added as well, to make the artifacts. The enchanter can also remove charms or relics from items, and vice versa.
Plot
The player hears about the monsters and finds their source of hades. The player travels to Rhodes and Hades to stop a Hades-born army. The player must find a way into the underworld to fight their way through the advancing horde.
Reception
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne received positive reviews from professional critics upon release. Aggregate review website Metacritic assigned a score of 80/100 based on 23 reviews.[4]

Unfortunately, the studio has since closed down and there will be no more fixes or additions [...] the Fanpatch fixes many remaining bugs and flaws within the game and is the culmination of the hard work of many modders from www.titanquest.net. The goal of the patch is to ensure that even though IronLore has closed its doors, Titan Quest will be continually updated through the efforts of its fans.
