Tilottama Municipality is a town in Rupandehi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The municipality was established merging the existing Shankar Nagar, Aanandaban, Karaiya, Makrahar, Tikuligadh and Madhabaliya Village Development Committees on 18 May 2014[2][3] and Gangoliya on 17 September 2015.[4]
At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 6894 people living in 1193 individual households.[5] As of the 2011 census, after adding Gangoliya VDC, the total population became 100,149.
Health and education
Though here are a few private hospitals and medical shops, no big hospitals are here. Few government health posts are here but the main hospital that is in this area is the Crimson Hospital pvt.ltd in the town of Manigram and there is one Eye care center, named Lumbini Eye care center and Optical clinic in Tilottama-6 manigram. One Government Regional Primary health care center (PHCC) is there in Tilottama-10 semara. Beside these, there are auxiliary centers and private medical halls in every part of the Municipality. But the citizens of municipality are not far from the regional hospital of Butwal and Bhairawaha, which is just 10 km away from the area. The Crimson Hospital, Lumbini Eye care center and other Dental and medical centers of the Manigram are serving more than 50% patient of this Municipality with good quality service.
In comparison to other places, education here is a bit good. but here is no balance in literacy rate. In some wards the literacy rate is quite good and in rest wards literacy rate is so poor. This municipality consists of few good collages and schools and the one of the oldest Government school Shree shanti Namuna Vidyalaya is in Manigram-6. Rammani multiple campus runs 11-12 to Masters degree programmes in different faculties. There are more than 10 reputed boarding and higher secondary schools in this municipality.

The municipality was established in 2014 by the government of Nepal. There are 24 wards in this municipality. The municipality is bordered by Devdaha to the east and northeast, Butwal to the north, Gangoliya to the south and Motipur to the west.

To promote local culture, Aanandaban has one FM radio station, Radio Lumbini at 96.8 MHz, which is a community radio station.
