Thomas Wedgwood III

Thomas Wedgwood III (11 June 1685 27 June 1739) was an English potter and the father of Josiah Wedgwood.

Thomas was born in Burslem, the elder son and heir of Thomas Wedgwood II (born 29 August 1660, in Burslem buried 16 June 1716, in Burslem) and Mary Leigh (christened 19 May 1663, Burslem buried 23 February 1719 Burslem). He was master potter of the Churchyard Work, Burslem. He died in Burslem.

He married Mary Stringer (c 1690-14 March 1766, in Burslem) and they had eleven children, three of whom died in infancy:
