Jean Antoine Théodore de Gudin

Jean Antoine Théodore de Gudin (15 August 1802 – 11 April 1880) was a French painter of the 19th century, born in Paris.

He especially painted navy scenes, and was a pupil of Girodet-Trioson.[1] Gudin was one of the first Peintres de la Marine, at the court of Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III.

Gudin died at Boulogne-sur-Seine in 1880.
