The World This Hour is a Canadian radio newscast, which airs weekdays on CBC Radio One.[1] Airing at 4 and 5 p.m. local time on all CBC Radio One stations across Canada, the program presents a seven-minute headline news summary of the day's events as an insert within the network's regional afternoon programs.[2]
The program premiered on November 7, 2005, replacing the network's prior news program Canada at Five.[1]
The program's current host is Tom Harrington. It was previously hosted by Marcia Young and Bernie McNamee.
