The Telly Awards were established in 1978. It is an award honoring the fine quality film and video productions, web commercials, videos, films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. Both a "Silver" and "Bronze" Telly are awarded. Previous winners include productions by Disney, most recently titles from Disney Junior at the 2014 awards,[1] as well as by Jim Henson Productions, in 1990 and 2006 for Statler and Waldorf: From the Balcony. Awards have also been given to ESPN, and Discovery Channel. Even organizations such as the American Bar Association have won awards, for their video of the ABA’s celebration of the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta in 1215.[2]

The first awards were given in 1978, and they are currently in their 37th year.
