The Secret Lovers (1977) is American author Charles McCarry's third novel, and the third novel in the Paul Christopher series.
Plot
Shortly after delivering an important manuscript to American agent Paul Christopher, a European agent is killed mysteriously by a hit-and-run driver. The novel seesaws back and forth between Christopher's investigation of the agent's death and Christopher's relationship with his unfaithful wife, Cathy.
The story takes place in 1960, after The Miernik Dossier but before The Tears of Autumn.
