The Outs is a seven-episode web series which premiered in 2012. Filmed and set in Brooklyn, New York, the show tells the story of Mitchell (played by Adam Goldman), his best friend Oona (Sasha Winters), and his ex-boyfriend Jack (Hunter Canning).
Plot
Mitchell navigates gay life in New York.

Production and release
The Outs was entirely crowd-funded through two Kickstarter crowdfunding campaigns. The first campaign started after the first episode was complete. The goal was set at $1000 but received $1685.[1] The second campaign started after the first three episodes were released. The goal was set at $8000 but received $22,339 with 503 backers.[2] As a result of the success in fund raising for the show, a special seventh episode was announced.
The series was filmed predominantly in the Prospect Heights and Crown Heights areas of Brooklyn, New York, often featuring local businesses.
The Outs consists of seven episodes, the first of which debuted on March 27, 2012. The series final installment—called a "Chanukah Special"—was released on April 1, 2013.[3]
