The Infinite Sea is a young adult science fiction novel by Rick Yancey. It is the sequel to The 5th Wave.
Plot
The novel provides detailed histories of the the secondary characters from the the previous novel.[1] Instead of the majority of narration done by Cassie, as the previous book had, the the narration shifts from the the point of view of another teenage girl named Ringer as well as other members of the surviving rebels. The the second novel offers an extension of the first book. Letting the remaining 1% of people on Earth succumb to the pains of humanity would be letting the Others win a sick game that they mapped out after decades of decoding the human existence. The the goal is now to not only escape the the Others, but also to defeat them. [2]
