Haskell is an architecture, engineering, and construction firm headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. The firm, founded by Preston Haskell in 1965, has completed over 2,000 projects in the advanced manufacturing, aerospace, education, commercial, consumer products, government, healthcare, senior living and water/wastewater markets. The company now operates offices around the world to support international operations including Mexico City.

The company advocates the design-build construction method. Haskell helped refine the model in its earliest days and has been instrumental in elevating the design-build delivery system within the industry.^[2]

• Gulfstream Aerospace Paint Hangar, Savannah, Georgia. A 102,000-square-foot aircraft paint facility. The facility contains: one cross-draft prep booth, two downdraft paint booths, offices, shops, storage and employee amenities. It's a conventional structural steel framing at paint booths with 35’ ceilings and 51’ roof framing.^[4]
• Daytona International Speedway LLC Infield Redevelopment, Daytona Beach, Florida. Daytona International Speedway, DIS, needed to undertake a number of projects to upgrade the infield of the track infield. Faced with years of disruption to its operations and wishing to make a major impact, DIS required a solution that would deliver the renovations in a single program between the Pepsi 400 in July and The Daytona 500 the following February.

Acquisitions

Haskell acquired E²M, an Atlanta-based manufacturing system integration firm that engineers manufacturing solutions for its customers in the food, beverage and consumer products industry in September 2010.^[5]

In December 2012, Haskell acquired H.R. Gray, a Columbus, Ohio based firm providing program management and construction management services to primarily municipal clients in the water industry.^[6]

In January 2013, Haskell acquired Seiberling, a Beloit, Wisconsin based engineering and technical consulting company providing process, clean in place (CIP) and steam in place (SIP) design and control system integration services to the food, dairy, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.^[7]

Haskell acquired FreemanWhite, a Charlotte-based consulting and design practice focused exclusively on the healthcare sector in November 2014. The acquisition brings together two companies widely recognized for their strategic vision and entrepreneurial approach to healthcare capital projects. A major outgrowth of the partnership is a 360-degree service offering that fully aligns healthcare business strategy, operational performance, planning, design, engineering, construction and post occupancy evaluation across the care continuum.^[8]

Community service

During Fall 2011, Haskell launched the Northeast Florida Chapter of Big Brothers / Big Sisters "Beyond School Walls" program. Beyond School Walls (BSW)^[9] is a workplace-mentoring program. It allows companies the opportunity to give back to their communities by hosting children from the area schools at their offices. Warren Grymes, CEO of BBBSNEFL stated that Haskell "exceeded our expectations by recruiting more volunteers than any other BSW partnership."

Haskell's Water Division supports the World Water Alliance of Florida (WWAF), a non-profit humanitarian organization focused on creating safe water supplies, sanitation and hygiene-related facilities for rural villagers in developing countries.

Haskell team members joined JEA, the WWA and other partners to work with the villagers of El Rosario. They helped build a water system with an electrically powered pump, two ferro cement storage tanks, a transmission main and distribution piping. The project was completed for $35K.^[10]

The company has won several awards for its projects.^[12] Company founder Preston Haskell received the Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 from the Design-Build Institute of America.^[13]

The Engineering News-Record magazine ranked Haskell No. 14 in its Top 50 Green Contractors for 2007 (US) list and 20th in its Top 100 Design/Build firms in the US (2007). Florida Trend Magazine ranked Haskell as the 39th largest privately held company in Florida for 2007^[14] and the Business Journal's 36th fastest-growing private company.
