The Electric Piper is a animated television film written by Bill Burnett and directed by Raymie Muzquiz.[1] It was originally broadcast on Nickelodeon in February 2003, but it was never released to home media.[2] Only fragments remain as part of Burnett's "Cartoon Music Reel" on YouTube.[3]
Synopsis
The Electric Piper is a modern retelling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin story, featuring Sly (Wayne Brady), a 1960s era rock guitarist modeled on Jimi Hendrix, who uses his guitar to rid the suburban town of Hamelin of its rats. Denied his payment by the town, Sly lures the town's children into a mountain.
