The Actors Center

The Actors Center, New York City, was founded in 1996 by J. Michael Miller.[1] The Actors Center aims to continue to develop actor's craft in relation to their growth as human beings. At the Center, established actors work with each other, challenging themselves to achieve a higher level of artistry[1] under the guidance of Master Teachers from around the world.[2] The Center defines a Master Teacher as "someone to whom a generation of established actors look to as their primary artistic influence".[3] Miller also opened a nine month conservatory intended to give students a more "intensive experience" then they could get at a two year program at Yale or NYU.[4]
