Ladders, Inc. is a United States-based company providing an online job search service. It launched listing only vetted job offers with annual salaries of $100,000 or more. On 19 September, 2011 they removed the $100k minimum salary requirement, opening the site to job seekers who didn't meet the previous experience/value qualification.[1] Unlike other employment sites that charge companies to post entries, Ladders charges both job seekers and employers for their listings, and states that they confirm the authenticity and quality of each listing on the site.
History
Ladders was founded in July 2003, to fill a perceived void in the executive online job seeking market.[2]
Ladders seeks to make its listings more useful to employers seeking executive personnel by utilizing a reverse business model that caters to the high-end job seeker.
Operations and business model
Ladders is headquartered in New York,[3] Job seekers pay a subscription fee in order to access postings in their field.[4]
When Ladders first launched, employers were able to post openings at no charge. However, as the company evolved, Ladders moved toward a subscription service for both employers and executive recruiters.[4]
