Tertnes IL
Tertnes Idrettslag is a Norwegian sports club from Bergen founded on 25 January 1953.
Active in athletics, football, gymnastics, handball and mountaineering, it is best known for its women's handball team, which plays in the Postenligaen and began fighting for titles in the late 1990s. Tertnes was the championship's runner-up in 1999 and 2004 and the national cup's runner-up in 2002,[1] and it also reached the final of the 2000 EHF Cup, lost to CB Amadeo Tortajada by one goal. In 2005 it played the Champions League.[2]
The men's football team plays in the Third Division, the fourth tier of Norwegian football, since the 2008 season.
