Teletrece is a Chilean news program on Canal 13 that, since 1970, has had the title of being the longest running news program in Chilean television, replacing TVN's 60 Minutos and subsequent programs TV Noticias, Noticias and 24 Horas.
Teletrece born in March 1970, succeeding the news The Esso reporter (1964-1968) and instantly Martini (1968-1970). Its consolidation as television news is produced during the government of Salvador Allende, time of great social upheaval and polarization in the country.1
Since its initial duration of 30 minutes each night, Teletrece begins to extend to reach during 1973, an hour and a half in length, with three daily editions of 30 minutes, one at 14:00, under the name of Teletarde, another to 19:00, Telenoche under the name and the last at 23:00, under the name Telecierre, plus 5 min capsules for several moments of scheduling, because of the large amount of information which were produced following above background. The audience leaned Teletrece at the expense of National News, National Television of Chile, Allende charged pro-trend, 2 and Nuevediario TeleU and the Channel, 6 and 9 of the Television Corporation of the University of Chile, which the last of these was taken by workers gobiernistas.3 In the mentioned period, gain notoriety as reporters who had the facts to the audience, journalists Julio Lopez Blanco and Claudio Sanchez.
After the coup that overthrew Salvador Allende, the tuning of Teletrece been maintained as opposed to the renewal of National Television and the inclusion of its new National newscast (which previously had been issued between 1969 and 1970). However, in 1975 Channel 13 reports to the pompous opening 60 minutes on national television, and brings to conduct Teletrece Cesar Antonio Santis (figure before TVN), who gives a new look to for information.

In April 1992, Eduardo Riveros Behnke comes to take over the information until noon May 3, 2002. On February 20, 2009, Hofmann Teletrece leaves, the news suffers reformulation. In January 2011, resolved the return of morning news show "Teletrece AM", replacing "on everyone's lips." Furthermore, "Teletarde" renamed "Teletrece Afternoon" and "Telenoche" renamed "Teletrece Night". All this to enhance the brand "Tele13".

On December 9, 2011 Jorge Cabezas, director of the press, is fired from the station. He arrived in September 2010 from TVN as one of "strategic signings" the Luksic channel to improve hearing in the newspaper space.
