Telehouse America is a data center services provider in the United States with carrier-neutral colocation facilities in New York, Newark and Los Angeles, as well as international Internet exchanges, managed IT services and disaster recovery solutions. In 1996, Telehouse America launched the New York International Internet Exchange point (NYIIX), Manhattan's largest and most heavily trafficked peering exchange, as well as established the first Los Angeles International Internet Exchange point (LAIIX), a peering gateway to the Asia-Pac Rim.

Together with its parent company, KDDI and sister company Telehouse Europe, Telehouse America operate a total of 44 Telehouse-branded global data centers in 23 cities throughout Asia, Africa, North America and EMEA.

Operations

Telehouse America operates three SSAE 16 Compliant, carrier neutral data centers and colocation facilities in New York, and one in Los Angeles. SSAE 16 is also known as "SOC 1". SSAE 16 replaced SAS 70 on June 15, 2011. An SSAE 16 report is required if performing a service for a publilly traded company that impacts their financial statement. [1]

Headquarters – 7 Teleport Drive, Staten Island, New York Telehouse America’s headquarters and first operational facility is the SSAE 16 certified Teleport Center, first opened for business in 1989. The flagship data center is Telehouse America’s largest facility, boasting 162,000 square feet of space.

25 Broadway, Manhattan(Location has been shut down since 10/2013)

Telehouse America’s SSAE 16 certified Broadway Center carrier hotel, also known as 25B, is located in the historic Cunard Line building at 25 Broadway, in downtown New York City, a few short blocks south of Wall Street. Another celebrated landmark, the famous Wall Street Bull, stands just across the street. 25B offers 85,000 square feet of colocation space on two floors (5th and 6th), protected by redundant infrastructure and 24/7 on-site security staff.

85 10th Avenue, Chelsea (Manhattan)

Telehouse America’s newest east coast location, TELEHOUSE New York Chelsea, is located between Manhattan’s Chelsea and Meat-Packing districts at 85 10th Avenue. This 7th floor, ultra high-tech facility offers 60,000 square feet of colocation space, accessible to authorized Client personnel on a 24/7 basis, along with the full scope of TELEHOUSE’s IT support services ranging from “remote- hands” to the full “Manage-E” family of IT services.

626 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles

Located in the center of Los Angeles' hi-tech district, Telehouse America’s Los Angeles Center is a gateway for connectivity from the United States to Asia. Also known as 626W, this data center facility is home to the LAIIX (Los Angeles International Internet eXchange) peering exchange.

Peering Exchanges

Telehouse America offers two metro peering connections: The New York International Internet Exchange, NYIIX, has a seamless scalable fabric with a 10GigE interface speed supporting both IPv4 and IPv6, is available from almost all the major carriers hotels in New York City, including 25 Broadway (25B), 85 10th Avenue (TELEHOUSE Chelsea), 60 Hudson Street, 111 8th Avenue, 32 Avenue of the Americas (32AoA) and 7 Teleport Drive in Staten Island.

The Los Angeles International Internet Exchange, LAIIX, also has a scalable fabric with a 10GigE interface speed supporting both IPv4 and IPv6, and is available from TELEHOUSE’s 626 Wilshire Blvd. and the One Wilshire carrier hotels.
