Tekniikka ja Talous (meaning Technology and Economy in English) is a Finnish language news magazine focusing on technological innovations published in Helsinki, Finland.
History and profile
Tekniikka ja Talous is published by Talentum Media Oy 43 issues per year in tabloid format.[1] The company also publishes Talouselämä, a Finnish business magazine.[2] Tekniikka ja Talous is based in Helsinki.[3] The magazine covers news about technological innovation and targets decision makers in the fields of management, marketing and sale as well as information technology.[1]
In August 2002 Tekniikka ja Talous started a supplement, Saldo, together with the newspaper Kauppalehti.[4][5] The magazine has another supplement, Uratie.[6]
Tekniikka ja Talous was distributed to the members, including student members, of the Union of Professional Engineers in Finland until the beginning of 2012 when a new technology magazine published by Sanoma Magazines Finland was selected by the Union as the magazine for its members.[7]
In September 2010 Timo Tolsa was appointed editor-in-chief of Tekniikka ja Talous and served in the post until 28 February 2011.[8]
Circulation
The circulation of Tekniikka ja Talous was 104,000 copies in 2007.[9] In 2009 the magazine had a circulation of 95,853 copies.[8] The circulation of the magazine was 95,690 copies in 2010 and 96,911 copies in 2011.[10] It fell to 60,018 copies in 2012.[11] Its circulation slightly rose to 61,850 copies in 2013.[12]
