Kollam Technopark is part of Technopark, Trivandrum, built on the hub and spoke model for the development of the information technology industry in Kerala. As the second phase of development of the IT industry in Kerala the Kollam Technopark is located in one of the earliest industrial towns of Kerala, Kundara .

Located on the banks of the Kanjiracode Lake, a tributary of the Ashtamudi in Kollam, this technopark plans to offer the support of uniform talent distribution, infrastructure and supporting IT platforms such as telecoms, datacoms and digital exchanges coupled with excellent infrastructure availability and back-up support. It is located 63 kilometres (39 mi) from the Trivandrum Campus headquartered in the state capital, 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Kollam City and 70 kilometres (43 mi) from Trivandrum International Airport. Kollam is well connected with railways, buses and waterways. On completion, the Kollam Technopark will have a direct employment potential of about 12,000 IT professionals.[1]

Basic infrastructure including power, water, roads, telecom, datacom, water treatment plant STP, executive hostel, health centre, club and food court all are to be built in the technopark.[2]
