The Taylor 314ce guitar is part of the Taylor 300 series. The 314ce is one of the lower end of Taylor Guitars's high branch of guitars along the rest of the 300 series.
Description
The Taylor 314ce has a wood combination of Sapele (back and sides) and Sitka spruce (top). The shape is a grand auditorium, a shape designed by bob Taylor to be an all purpose guitar (finger-picking, strumming, etc). It has a NT (New technology) neck which is highly adjustable to make a longer lasting guitar. It also has a Taylor ES (Expression System) pickup which is good for not having intrusive controls, that would normally comprise the tone of the guitar.

On the Taylor website [1] the 314ce is described as "The richness of the solid-wood acoustic experience begins with our 300 Series. Sapele shares mahogany’s lively tonal response and, together with a gloss-finish Sitka spruce top, rings out with a brightness and clarity that give these guitars a definitive Taylor voice. Black binding flanks sapele’s ribbon-like grain, with large pearl fretboard dots adding a traditional touch."[2]
