Tarique Qayumi
Tarique Qayumi is an Afghan-Canadian writer, director, producer. He studied at the School of Creative Writing at the University of British Columbia.[1] His thesis screenplay called "The Sacrifice" was optioned by Howe Sound Productions.[2] He completed his Masters of Fine Arts at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.[3] He worked in Afghanistan as a writer, director, and producer of Truth Unveiled,[4] The Defenders,[5] and Baghch-e-Simsim (the Afghan version of Sesame Street.)[6] He also co-wrote and directed the feature film called Targeting, which premiered at Dances With Films Festival in 2014.[7] Recently, he was a speaker for TedxKabul.[8]
