Taraje Williams-Murray (born on Nov 9 1984 in Bronx, New York) is an American Judoka.[1] He graduated from high school at the age of 15 and went to college.[2] He was coached by Olympian Jimmy Pedro.[1] After an initial health scare, Taraje was found to be healthy.[2] He competed in the Beijing Olympics at the age of 23, as well as the Athens Olympics at the age of 19 for Team USA.[3][4] He was the subject of a documentary called “Beyond the Rings”.[5]
