The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders are the official cheerleading squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League. The squad performs a variety of dance routines at Raymond James Stadium, the home of the Bucs, with the team's mascot Captain Fear.[1] The squad debuted alongside the Buccaneers during their inaugural season. The squad was originally known as the SwashBucklers until 1999.[2] As of Tampa Bay's 2016 season, there are 30 members of the squad. Each year, the squad releases a swimsuit calendar.[3] The group also has a "Junior Cheerleader" program.[4] Before the Bucs' game against the Chicago Bears in Wembley Stadium in London, the squad taught a rugby union squad to play American football.[5]

Though uniforms frequently change each season, the traditional uniform consists of red tops, black boots and short pants/skirts. The squad has also worn alternate designs, such as a halter top with an armband, as well as football jerseys with shorts. The squad at times have also worn alternate jerseys.[6] During the squad's early years, the uniforms were colored orange, white and red after the team's original colors.[2]
