Tabriz Metro is a metro system serving the city of Tabriz, Iran. The first line opened on 28 August 2015 with 7 km length and 6 stations.[1] There is also one regional commuter line planned to Sahand
Lines
Line 1
Line 1 of Tabriz metro is currently under construction. Its first phase opened on 27 August 2015.The 7 km route runs northwest from El Goli to Ostad Shahryar with four intermediate stations, including three in a tunnel excavated using TBMs.Services are operated with coupled pairs of five-car trainsets. There will be free-of-charge services from 11:00 to 13:00 for 3 months starting from Saturday 29 August 2015.[2] The first phase is 7 km long and has 6 stations from El Goli Station to Ostad Shahriar Station. The frequency of the services right now is every 20 min.[3] Its second phase will be opened some time in summer 2016 and will be from Ostad Shahriar Station and Meydan-e Sa'at Station. When complete, the east-west Line 1 will run for 17·2 km from El Goli to Nur with 18 stations.

Tabriz Urban Train (subway) includes unique features in North-south route
1- Connecting main passenger nods such as Airport, North Terminal ,central park, Bazaar District , Stadium military medical, Academia centers, Yadgar-e-Emam Stadium, South Terminal 2- Foreseeing crossing crowded Slum districts and obtaining the majority of trips ( mare than other lines) 3- Intersection with other Lines, in order to exchange commuter and facilities in 4 points for facilitating trips and organizing inter city commutes

Implementation Criteria 1- Investor organizes the process of tunnel and stating implantation and regarding municipality provision , cost spent ,the agreements a would be achieved 2- Fleet provision would be on organizations part 3- on inventors request about establishing commercial units next to stations , municipality would help investor interims of construction permit 4- commercial units in station 5, line 1 are considerer das organizations provision in order to supply implement costs 5- Evaluating commercial units would be on agreement of both sides

Line 4 of Tabriz metro will encircle the old city centre and intersect with all the other 3 lines.
